| Just crashed my Honey Bee...... Well, I got so angry trying to get the transmitter to work with FMS simulator that I decided to try out the actual helicopter....... Well I managed to get the rotors going (I wasn't aiming to get it off the ground) but after about the second time of playing around (I must have pressed something I shouldn't have) the helicopter just took off and hit the kitchen cuboard. Panic set in and I just pressed everything and managed to get it to drop back down. Well, the tail rotor blade broke (and I think this is the only thing) but those can be replaced very easily. Now, how do I check that everything is working OK after this little crash? The main rotor seems ok. |

| Turn throttle all the way down then turn on TX and helicopter.Use aileron and elevator controls and see if servos are working then give a LITTLE throttle and see if motors are responding-without tail rotor it will be hard to check gyro. For the sim, you need to have PPJOY running and minimized with FMS running at the same time.Your TX needs to be on with no other game controller hooked up[like joystick].This site will show you how to set it all up http://hermer.co.uk/fms/.

| Re: Just crashed my Honey Bee...... Everything on the Honey Bee seems to be working fine. Nearly did the same thing agan though....... I had the throttle down and then pushed THR up (so the led on the chopper turned green) on the servo reverse controls. I then slowly raised the throttle and the tail and main rotor started spinning. Next I lowered it and pressed the THR switch down. This then made it suddenly start up and go crazY. This time I presses the THR switch back up before it could get into the air. I'll have another shot at getting this sim thing to work. |

| The THR switch must be an idle up switch that you only use when in the air.You don't need it to practice basic takeoffs and landings-it will not allow you to turn off motors to land.Consult owner's manual for proper use of switches.

Possible FMS setup: http://www.helifever.com/forums/1743-honey-bee-cp2-fms I got the cable from eSky, plugged it into the TX, serial on puter. Started FMS and did what the above posts sez. Worked for me. The THR Up switch is used for inverted flight and not needed anytime before that. What it does: At 50% throttle (hover speed) it sets the blade pitch to reverse when you throttle down, and adding throttle, hence giving you lift for inverted flight and other maneuvers. (what other maneuvers, I dunno, I'm a noob too) If your 2 foot above the floor and you hit that swtich, depending on where your throttle stick is, you can either drive your heli into the floor or ceiling! Don't mess with this switch!! Well, at least untill you know how to fly. Hope this helps ya out.
