| New Guy Question I'm in the market for a new heli. A question came to mind while looking at all the kits out there, Why do some helicopters have the Fly Bar above the main rotor and others have it below? The helio's that have it above, are they more stable then the other ones? Sorry,,,,,it's a new guy question! Thanks Dave |

| Re: New Guy Question iv heard thats its just how the designer wanted it. really dont think it makes too much difference wether its above or below the mian blades. thats just my theory plus i seen something about it on a thread in this forum somewere.

| Re: New Guy Question i have only flew helis with the fly bar below the rotor blades i guess i havent really seen a fly bar above the blades up close, but i can't really fathem the idea of the linkage above the blades, now i know they make this set up on the raptor helis, just haven't looked at it that hard. it does not really affect the helis performance because you can 3d with the flybar above or below. so i think i would take a closer look at both types of heads and check what the part count would be on both ,because if you crash and damage the head you may be buying mor parts for one or the other.![]() |
