Re: shuttle engine setting

Can you tell us what make of engine is in your shuttle. Shuttle is the helicopter and doesn't realy help us with the answer for the type of engine setting that is needed.

If it is an OS 32 then the needle settings are main needle 2&1/2 - 3 turns turns from closed the low end needle 1 turn

My OS 32 does not like to be primed either it floods easily if primed but runs fine. you can then tune the engine. If the engine is spitting unburnt fuel from the exhaust then it is running rich. Be carefull when you lean it out though as leaning it too much can damage the motor.
First tip is to tune the high end needle then when this is done tune the low end if it needs it. The low end needle is even more sensative to movment than the high so only move it one eigth of a turn at a time.

The basic needle settings I would use for a used engine are 3 turns out on the main needle. 1 turn out on the low end.
