Tail Rotor problem

I just bought a heli-max axe CP-l off ebay and I finally got the flybar adjusted right and got it to hover for about 30-45 seconds today. While I was hovering the heli always wanted to turn around so i would counter it with some tail rotor and then try to set my trim accordingly. This never seemed to be very effective cause it would either go one way or the other no matter how careful I was with the trims.

I would like to know if it could be the gyro messing up or if I just need to live with it cause its all normal.

I have been reading on this forum since I got my heli (about 4 days) and it has already been so helpful with getting my heli to hover. Thanks in advance for any help.

I just helped a friend with his. Same problem..
First center your trim on the radio..

You have a couple of little trim pods on the gyro. the top one is the gain or sensitivity.
Start by turning it down. (counter clockwise) but remember where it was to start with.
Next set the heli down and start spooling it up till it gets lite on the skids and watch for which way it once to spin. If it spins to the left and you need a little right trim then turn the lower trim pod a little clockwise and do it again.
A little goes a long way so make very, very small adjustments. Once you get it where it seems to stay put, turn up the gain to where it was and take her for a hover.. It should be ok.
If you turn the gain up and the tail seems to shake or wag then turn the gain down a little and try again..
