| Strange Problem Hi, I have an electric helimax mx400, Everything other than the motor works fine on the Heli. The motor doesnt start running until the throttle stick on the remote control(futaba t6exhp) is advanced to 100% and then the motor starts running (it appears to run at full power once it starts, so it goes from nothing to 100% power) . Once it runs it wown't stop unless the helicopters battery is disconnected. I have already replaced the receiver and esc and the remote control has been restoreed to default settings, all with no effect on the problem. Help is apreciated, Thanks! |

| Re: Strange Problem Hi there, Welcome to the forum. Okay there are about 5 things that can be wrong here.. 1. The throttle curve of the TX is wrong. I if you programmed this yourself, redo it so that its a linear curve. (I think the t6 is 3 point so 0, 50, 100) 2. The TX is in idle up 3. The throttle channel is reversed so that the top of the stick is actually 0% and theres a really crappy throttle curve in there. 4. The speed controller is stuffed. 5. The reciever is stuffed. to Check these, disconnect 2 of the motor wires that run from the speed controller. That way you cant accidentally start the motor. Next, swap the throttle servo and say the elevator servo ( disconnect the servo from its elevator linkage first) This way you can observe exactly what happens when you throttle up. Now Plug in the battery and gently increase the throttle watching the elevator servo. If it jitters around the problem is likely to be 5. If it doesnt move then at the last touch of the throttle it smoothly goes from one end of its travel to the other its likely to be 1 or 2. Check the position of all your switches and try again if its 2 and check the programming of the Throttle curve if the switches are in the right place. 3 Is unlikely since, speed controllers usually go into programming mode at 100% and you wouldnt ever get the the rotors spinning. That leaves 4. If you have eliminated all the other possibilities, then it could be that the speed controller is stuffed though its a hard one to check. Thats all I can think of (Im sure somebody else will be able to suggest trying something Ive missed ), also if you have no idea what Im talking about, please come back on and I'll try to make it clearer.Hope it helps.... | Re: Strange Problem OOPs, sorry, didnt read your full post. ![]() If youve replaced the RX and the ESC then Im going with the Throttle curves or idle up switch. It could also be your TX... Do the servos on the other channels work smoothly without jittering? \\Azzy

| Re: Strange Problem here is another though is the rx futaba rx? I had a problem like that but I was using a hitec rx which was positve shift for a JR or Airtronic radio. Futaba and Hitec are negative shift. |
