new born baby ?

can someone please tell me how to hav lift-off on a heli. ( I can't do it on my own, obviously ) . I'v got a r/c- dragonfly #45 - 6 channel - and i don't no what the f*#k i'm doing. HELP!!!!

I see you are just the way I was when I started. Though there was a lot less in the way of help back then.
Now firstly I need to know.
Do you have a pitch gage? This is so you can check the pitch with the throttle stick at half stick, Without the motor plugged in. (You don't want to trash yourself or the heli)
When your throttle stick is centered the main blades should have moved to there hovering pitch or close to it.
The blades should be at 5degrees posative pitch at center stick. they should be around +9 degrees at top stick. If your radio has the ability to adjust the pitch travel you can adjust it if it needs to be adjusted. If you radio does not you may have to do this by hand.

When your blades are set so that at center stick you have +5 degrees you should be ok to get lift. IF you have no experience of flying heli's STOP. DO NOT attempt to fly it. Heli's are extreemly difficult to fly if you have never learnt. YOU WILL CRASH IT.

My advice to you in this case is to get yourself some training, Either on a simulator or with a training helicopter, OR find someone local that flies them to help you.

IF you are able to fly it or your just plain stubborn and don't want to listen then the best advice I can give you is to take it VERY VERY slow.
DO NOT get it off the floor. Let it get light on its skids and check that the controls work. move the nose left and right move the rotor head control paddles and watch how it makes the rotor head react. Do this until you can hold the tail in one place with the heli facing away from you at all times. Don't allow the heli to turn as the control inputs dont corespond to your inputs. ON A MODE 2 RADIO. While the heli is faceing away from you if you push forward on your right stick the heli will move forward away from you. Pull Back and the heli will move back toward you. NOTE the more movment you put into the control sticks the more aggressive your heli will move. If you push the right stick left the heli will slide left, Move it right and the heli will slide right. Again the more you move the stick the more the heli will react.

The left stick controls the throttle/Main blade pitch and the tail rotor for nose direction, Use this stick to prevent your heli lifting off the floor by moveing it toward you. Allways Keep your heli tail in/Faceing away form you, Any other orientation i.e the heli faceing in any other direction will increase the difficulty in the learning stages.

If you find that your main blade pitch is moving in the wrong direction when you apply throttle to mid stick then you will need to change the servo direction. To do this use the servo revers switch on the transmitter, MAKE SURE you switch the right servo!

My advice to anyone learning from scratch is to get on a simulator and learn the required inputs first. Don't attempt to fly first it will just cost you Money.

I just started a 6 months ago on a falcon 40 aka dragonfly 4 and now have a exceed eagle 50 aka walkera E22. I agree with the previous comment STOP,DO NOT FLY. I wrapped my E22 up the first 2 minutes(40$ damage) even after I had over 40 successful flights on my falcon 40. Get the free simulator from FMS,I use a cheap cordless wingman rumblepad to practice on the sim. When you can hover in any direction, do figure 8's and fly box patterns then you will be ready grasshopper. Everyone say's go slow and there right, I didn't listen at first and learned the hard way with alot of crashes, but im getting it slowly, the simulator is what really shortens the learning curve.

patience is definately a virtue.....the sad thing is that many folk will rush in....try flying...wreck the model and then be put off for life.

Go with the previous posts.....leave the model alone....get a simulator and/or training at a local RC heli club....be very wary of any 'experts' that dont actually fly models. RC helis can be dangerous....and need respect.

All in all...its a great hobby with something for everyone....most people I have met within the forums on the subject are a great laugh and usually share info freely....welcome to RC helis.
