Finding Help It is very hard to help new people over the internet with some problems and a solution is to find someone in your area that could help you!How is that done well you need to use the pilot locator to find people in your area and then you e-mail them and ask for their help it is that simple and most all heli pilots will be glad to help a new guy learn and help set up your heli. This is the link to the pilot locator: http://www.geocities.com/cj_higdon/locator/ I would say use it if you have a problem that we cannot help you with.I hope that this helps you all. ![]()

Re: Finding Help I have made a really good discovery with learning to fly!!!! its called the pucker factor!!@! If im on the simulator and just dont think I can do even moves the good flyers would be proud of..........but when hovering my chopper for real my butt starts puckering if I go any further that a hover lol perhaps to do with the cost of rebuilds and the fact its really a cutoff saw floating in front of you and I am aware of the dammage that can be done,,,,I would think a buddy box would be the way to go when going to the next stage??

Re: Finding Help Hi, I am fairly new to RC copters, but one thing I have noticed, that a lot of people do when asking for help, is lack of detail... So this advice is pretty global in nature, but when asking for help, you should at least mention the following: Type of Helicopter (Nitro/Gas or Electric) Brand and Model of Helicopter (Raptor, Caliber, etc.) Size of copter (micro, 30, 50, etc.) Type of Radio (Futaba, JR, etc.) Model of radio (6ch, 7ch, etc.) Type of Electronics (gyros/servos) Detailed description of the problem. You may take this advice or leave it, but nearly every post I have seen where people are asking for help, the question is vague, and the first response is always one of the above topics i.e.: What type of helicopter is it? etc. So this information may be helpful to everyone when posting... Hope I dont come off as high and mighty, just trying to help everyone here! Thanks! Letum

Re: Finding Help hey guys , i have just brought a 3D 6CHANNEL DRAGONFLY 22E RC HELICOPTER, and although i have already crashed it will be ready to fly again soon. i just wondered if anyone knew any good websites which would give me a detailed outline of how to fly my helicopter? after leveling out the helicopter i was able to fly relitivly steady yet when beginning to move the helicopter forward it became out of control and flew into a bush. very upsetting for me! just wondered if anyone could give me directions to some good guidelines ![]() neil

Re: Finding Help Am completely brand new on these as well, only thing first flight I have yet to crash, several close calls etc...perhaps lucky but taking things slow... Only experience years ago w/sailplanes, but am very rusty... My model is the E-Flight CX Dual Blades not the CP... 1. Purcahsed a Toy Award Winner 35.00 Helicopter, basicly hovering skills, is a 3 channel with very limited steering todate but gave me an idea of what to expect..only 2 days on the toy, is tuffer to fly than the CX on steering !! Toy Did provide hands on skills.. 2. Simulators are certainly great but wanted hands on so reason for the toy intro... 3. Last Night Flights hovered few inches but wanted to topple over so launched to 4 to 8 foot levels, have controls near trim and now hovers..don't trim while flying !! 4. On the Controls still working on steering as well, take things step at a time, work on one direction only, soon as it drifts land right away...Don't try to save it, LAND !!! CUT POWER !! 5. Tho mine is also indoor prefer outside flying with zero on first flights as more room... Having fun so far, fingers crossed... BEST WARREN .<>..
