Re: what fuel to use for "magnum xls" .30 class engine??

Hi

Just for the run in period you should use a fuel that is low on nitro around 5% nitro. When it is run in then I would use fuel containing 15% Nitro. The fuel of choice for many madelers is Magnum fuels. I run my engines in with duraglow straight then run duraglow 5% the switched to coolpower15%.

Your Engine will run on anything really as long as it has 22% oil in it the nitro can be introduced once you have run your engine in. then the mix needs to be around 22%oil 5%nitro-15%nitro the rest is methanol.

The most important lesson for anyone comming into this hobby is to run your engine in properly. they are very expensive and the more time taken to run it in, The more it will give in terms of performance and reliability

hope this helps
