Re: Which simulator?

I think one of the best flight simulators is the Great Planes G3. It has realistic graphics and the models look real and fly like the real thing. It has a tons of planes and helicopters. It is not cheap at $200.00 but I think it is worth every cent you pay for it. It also will provide you with a TX or provide a usb cable to fit your own TX.

Re: Which simulator?

Hi,

I see mention is made of the three major sims, Reflex XTR, Realflight G2 and Great Planes G3. All appear about the same in graphics and price. Is any one actually better for learning on (for me moving up from basic hover to figs 8 etc) or does it just come down to personal preference?

If I'm going to spend money moving up from my FMS, I want what is seen as the best buy for future progress (although I do like quality graphics, sound and crashes...).

Thanks

Re: Which simulator?

Of the major simulators for heli (G3, G2, or Reflex) do any allow for computer radio adjustments/mixing/CCPM/etc.... from an actual computer radio (using sim/trainer port connection)? like with a JR 9303 or 9x, etc.. transmitter.

Also, does any know if there is a model in G3 for the Blade CX?

Re: Which simulator?

My wife told me to go ahead and get a copter, I think I should start out w/simulator. I have the G3 demo & I like it. Is the G3 about the best of the sims?

Re: Which simulator?

Sudoku: G3 is the only sim. I've used, so I can't compare. But it's much better than the demo which uses the keyboard. The controller (TX) is more realistic. To get quicker response to the sticks, I turned off the sound, smoke and shadows. To see what the heli was doing way out I pressed view, gadgets, binoculars. Now a screen insert shows what's happening at any distance. I highly recommend the G3. Dave.
