Re: Which simulator?

I understand Phoenix is a great sim. At least it's the flavor of the month right now.
Clearview is really good for a cheap sim $40. Great graphics!!
FMS is decent for a $20 sim.
HeliSimRC is FREE. It's excellent, but graphics aren't spectacular. But they don't matter so much because this sim is based on being REAL. The programmer focuses on heli physics more than anyone else.

Re: Which simulator?

Hi all

I recently got an Eagle 3D as a present.
I also got a simulator (which comes with a USB sim transmitter) so far everything is great and I've been flying the simulator.

But I would like to connect the transmitter from the Eagle 3D so I could fly the simulator (the transmitter says it's an Exceed-RC transmitter).. figure this would give me a better feel for when I fly the Eatle. The trasmitter came with a serial cable to connect to the computer, but I can't get it to work.
Is there any trick to get the transmitter to work?

Thanks

Re: Which simulator?

You might well need a driver to get this to work, which is quite a common thing for the older style serial ports.

I cant help you there but I would bet that is the problem.

I know what you mean about getting the feel of the radio but I wouldnt get too hung up about it.

Maybe there might be an adaptor around that could connect the USB to your real radio?
