Re: Which simulator? Hiya everyone Nothing new to add, just to say that since I am serious and detemined to fly a RC heli that I went ahead and got the Great Planes Real Flight G3 sim, I have no exp in the others and this one DOES NOT have the BCX or any other dual rotor heli, BUT, I like it, I like it alot, beautiful graphics, great feel too, (like what do I know) I am a newb but the sim and RADD together with reading all the fine stuff on the Forum are getting me going pretty good, I only hit 2 out of 4 walls now!! From the little exp I have but who better than another newb learning? I would say the sim is a good thing, dunno if it was worth 200+ dollars, I would think the free ones would be just as good , I think the most important thing would be to use a controller as close to the TX that you will be using. That way when you do the real thing it is familiar to you, don't need any more surprises than you are going to get anyway huh?Blue

Re: Which simulator? Hey Blue: The G3 does have a Blade CX type now. It's in a recent upgrade called G3.5. The Heli-Max Axe EZ is coaxial (2 blades). At first I couldn't get it more than a few inches off the ground, even at full throttle. However, I found that by putting the throttle trim all the way up, then using the throttle, I got all the altitude I wanted. You should be able to get the 3.5 by pushing the upgrade button, which is what I did. Dave

Re: Which simulator? Has anyone tried the FS One sim? My son and I saw it at a local hobby shop and it looked really nice. My son tried it and flew the Blade CX, the helicopter I am looking to purchase for him, and did pretty good for the first time using a transmitter type controller. The only other time on a sim was on the FMS and a Playstation game controller. Are either of these sims close to real world flying? The Real Flight G3 that many people say is the most accurate sim, but does not have the Blade CX and Blade CP, the two heli's I am interested in purchasing. I'm just a little concerned about how easy it was for my 11 year old to fly on the FS One. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

| Re: Which simulator? FS One is extremely realistic. And also the Blade CX is just that easy to fly. With the Blade CP, I find FsOne to be harder than my real helicopter. Only thing I have to say is that if you get FsOne, make sure to get the one that comes with the Tac Con controller. I say this, because at least my Jr XP6102TX will not read exactly right and I cant practice inverted. I would say get either FsOne or g3. G3 has more of a selection to choose from, while FsOne only has JR, and E-Flite helicopters. Hope this helped, John

Re: Which simulator? Thanks for your reply. Good to know that the CX is easy to fly. My son will have a blast with it. I couldn't get him off the sim at the hobby shop! I guess it's better to have the sim be harder than the real thing. Can't wait till I can crash, I mean fly my CP! Got to wait for santa to come. Thanks again for your help.

Re: Which simulator? Hiya David, the G3 has a BCX now?! Rather, the upgrade for the G3... Awesome! Will get right on it, thanks alot for the info. *bow*Scott, As far as the CP goes, the G3 might not have that particular heli but there are a couple in it that have to be so close as to make no difference..IMHO. Thx guys for being so nice to a newb flyer, hope to chat with ya'll again. Blue
