| Re: Which helicopter? Yes the suspence is killin me, although I know that sence i have never flown a rc helicopter other than my R/S $49.99 styrofoam heli, that i cant just take it out of the box and go out side and take flight. Im working on construting a trainer stand. If things work out the way i plan the heli should be able to fligh an aprox 8 ft circle about 30in off the ground. have complete 360 degree rotationwhere the heli mounts as well as turing the 8ft circle, you will also be able to pitch front to back or lean side to side aprox 30 degrees while in flight but the heli will sit or land level to the ground. Im for sure gonna take some time with the trainer stand and a sim so i dont mess up my heli. |

| Re: Which helicopter? new update on my heli from rc expert..... after going thru the box and an inspection of the heli. i found I was missing a total of 4 small screws and two nuts to hold the battery tray in place. not bad over all. I did find some screws that wernt tight, a minor problem in my eyes. the telebee gyro does not even power up so with the rudder servo plugged into the gyro I have no tail rudder control. but if the servo is connected to the channel 4 on the rx the tail rudder and servo works correctaly, but then I have no gyro to assist in flight. I emailed rc expert today, ill keep you all filled in about the out come. |

| Re: Which helicopter? Please help!. I can't wait to get started with this hobby but am undecided at what to buy. I don't have alot to spend, and I want something that can hold up a camera because those are just too neat. I don't want a super begginer heli, I want something that will be more medioker as far as balance between beginner and intermediate. I hear alot of good about honeybee cp2 , blade cp, and raptors. I've hear alot of bad about Walkera, but they are cheap and I have heard some good about them too. Also, I would like to get something that can do some 3D flying and not be overly sensitive or not very sensitive to the controls. For example, I've been using FMS and if the FMS models are close to the real thing then some models are extremely sensitive and can go all over the place like the Picolo or others will barely move like the dragonfly models....are these even close to being correct? Lastly, I've read where transmittion ranges are in excess of 1-2 miles, but when you look at many websites they say model ranges are like 500 sq feet. Which is right? Ok, can someone PLEASE help me!!!!! Thanks!!!! |

| Re: Which helicopter? Zach8202 if you buy a honeybee cp2 , blade cp that comes with a TX the range will probably be in that 500 ft. they are park fliers. if you buy a quality computer TX like futaba, hitec, jr, airtronics they are full range Tx's and will have a range of 1-1.5+miles. the same is true with recievers the hitec electron 6 reciever i use states 1+ miles (6000 ft)range. http://servocity.com/html/6-ch_electron_fm_rx.html i also have a gws reciever for my indoor flier that has a range of 3-400 feet. whatever you end up with always be sure to do a range check. leave your heli sitting with someone and walk away from it always moving the servo's and see how far away you get till you loose signal. it's probably a good idea to unplug the motor just in case
