| Getting Started... Hi to all. Just joined up and first post, so please be gentle with me. Have just picked up my Mini Pred 3D and looking for advice for first steps. Have to admit instruction book is very poor. Have started her up and lots of wobbles before it shot skywards. Turned controler off but continued to fly for a bit before crashing into some bushes. Pleased to say however that it looks ok. I'm now thinking, Do you need to set the controler up? Also when i turned the controller back on i get a bleeping noise from the Heli. No mention of what this means in the book. Going to a local electric heli club over the weekend to get some advice but just wondering if any one has any tips or advice before i go. Got the poor thing sitting here in the box and just want to get out and start learning to fly... Buggs |

| Re: Getting Started... I would hold your horses and get to the club...they will help you no end and will point out a lot of safety aspects. I have the same heli, I dont fly it anymore as I have a trex 450. I was suprised with the Pred, it does fly well but the stock radio is junk with little flexibility. The whole deal cost about 200 quid so for what you get it does quite well. Go to that club, resist trying to fly it now. You were lucky it didnt get trashed most events like this end in tears...I am not trying to put you off. Rc helis are hard to fly, and the little electric ones are crazily fast.If you get bitten by the bug take a look at the Trex series...they are AWSOME little helis. Rob |
