Trim Question *Complete Novice here*

Good Afternoon,

I've been wanting an RC helicopter for some time and 2 days ago I bought one, not an expensive one (was 80 bucks) so that way if I kill it, it won't hurt so bad and my wife won't hurt me...LOL

anyway I picked this up from one the mall kiosk stations and here's what is listed on the heli:

1. it's a mini
2. it says Plane Toys, Match MINI JDZ airplane series on the side & 886-36 on the tail
3. it's battery powered

according to the directions about setting trim if the copter rotates to the left move the trim to the right and reverse if it rotates to the right move the trim to the left.

well my trouble is that it rotates to the left and I move the trim to the right it doesn't change a thing I have to move the left thumb stick all the way to the left to get it to stay somewhat straight, I have no idea what I'm doing wrong I'd love to be able to figure this thing out but, as stated in the title, I'm a complete novice. this helicopter has the ability to move up/down/left/right/forward/backward.

can anyone offer any suggestions or provide help?

I've checked the sticky for "finding help" but I can't open the pilot locater link it just hangs and then errors out.

Thank you

here's a link to a picture of what I've got.

it was taken with the camera on my phone sorry for it being a tad blurry.

Re: Trim Question *Complete Novice here*

Hi and Welcome,

What you have there is really not a true 4 ch. Notice it does not have the ability to tilt the lower blades, in other words it does not have a swash plate. You get foward flight by turning on the horizatal tail motor. A good coaxial (dual main rotors) to learn on is a Esky Lama 003 they can be found for as little as $69 plus shipping. It does not have the tail rotor but has a swash plate much like a real helicopter and it fly's much better. Good luck !
