Charge Rate For 3c Lipo's

If this has been already brought up, please point me to the thread.

I have a DN Power Charger and had a question on what charging rate to set my current batteries at. My options are:

.2a and up to 2.0 a

These are the 3 batteries " thunderpower" that I have and from what I believe to be the correct charge rate.

3 cell, 2070, 25c would be charged at 2.0 a
3 cell, 2200 , 25c " 2.2 a
3 cell, 2150 , 20c " 2.1 a

Thanks

Re: Charge Rate For 3c Lipo's

Hi praztek welcome to the forums.
Most manufactures recommend charging at 1C X the max C rating of your battery. Its a really easy formula to figure the proper charge rate for each battery.
.001 x the max C of the battery you want to charge ( .001 x 2200 = 2.2 so 2.2 would be the rate you set) Some of your better battery's will take a higher charge rate than the 1C X the max. But if you use this formula you wont be second guessing your self all the time.

Danimal,

Thanks for the info ! My dn chargers rate only goes up to 2.0 a, which I'm fine with that.

Ya you'll be fine with that and the battery's you have. Do you have a LiPo balancer? If not it would be a wise investment to help maintain your battery's.
