My new dragonfly heli i recently bought an electric dragonfly but I can't get it to hover. By default, it always rolls the the left because of the rotors torque, and the transmitter trim does not correct for this. What should I do?

drogonfly keeps rolling left! I keep having the same darn problem. I just use the normal sticks on the Tx to conterbalence the tendancy for it to roll left. I've tried to use wieghts, but that didn't help much: it just made it go a bit crazy. I have also got some home-made skid stops from the rubber grips found on some pens. That helped a little as it didn't want to slide around before take off so much.

I have the $98 Dragonfly also. It took a little bit of tweaking to get to hover half decently. If you do not have enough trim to prevent it from sliding one direction, remove the control arm from the servo, recenter your trim, and put the control arm back on centered. Retrim the heli. Some common glitching problems are: Antenna wrapped around skids (unwrap and let hang or run through a straw fastened to a skid), dry motor bearings (put a drop of oil on the end of each motor's shaft bearings), a bad servo (replace of course), or a shorted capacitor (make sure capacitor does not touch the motor can, especially on the tail motor). Get used to adding right cyclic on take off to counter torque. Once it is in the air and hovering, you may have to give a little left cyclic to stop it from sliding right. These little Dragonflys are the same as Hobby People/EF Heli's Sabre. You can download the better Sabre manual from the Hobby People web site. Mike
