Re: Whats the best nitro heli for starters? help..

They are both as good as each other I would think, I dont have a Raptor but I do have a Hirobo Shuttle Sceadu 30...very well thought out design. I havent flown it yet though will be doing so soon. I bought it about 4 years back when I started out but saved it for best.

I now fly a Petrol heli but thats another story.

I would look at parts availability for either heli in Australia, this is crucial because if you ding the heli of your choice...and its going to happen...then you need parts.

After parts I would say prices thereof...are they cheap compared to other brands?

Another heli you might want to look at is the Align Trex Nitro...parts are insanely cheap and its a great heli by all accounts.

I know you didnt ask this: but get a good radio system...2.4 ghz is the way to go and be sure the radio can cope with helis...get a decent gyro too. Servos? even the cheaper ones will do the job...though if you get a GY401 Gyro you might just need a good servo with it...probably digital.

Welcome to the hobby :~)

I've heard that the Kenetic 50 is a good one for learning and is capable of 3d. Like Hawkman said check out the part availability first because that is where the real money comes in play longterm.
