Alternative Blades

Hi,

I was wondering if there are alternative blades for the Walkera 52. Are there other brands that carry stronger material blades that would wit on the Walkera 52?

Re: Alternative Blades

Measure the length, from the bolt hole to the blade tip...this will give you a measurment of say 300mm (example) and make sure to get the bolt hole diameter...say 3mm.

If you cant find the correct size then going over the size very slightly is ok...undersize can be ok but if you are not careful you end up having to adjust the headspeed amongst other things...dont go way oversize either...the boom might not be long enough.

Helis have a formulae of design...a given rotor diameter....the boom has to be long enough to act as a lever etc etc..too long a blade length will cause problems.

Re: Alternative Blades

Thanks a lot! I'll check out 64C and ep100 blades as they have similar sizes but better material.

Re: Alternative Blades

Other blades worth looking at are the Trex type blades...I dont know the heli you have but maybe the trex x series might have the right length blades.

The blades worth looking at are the 'fibre' type...they are plastic and quite heavy which makes for a nice stable system...and they are quite tough too.
