| extreme down force ok so in hovering i tipped the chopper over a couple of weeks ago. Ordered main shaft and other parts. Replaced them today and eager to fly. Power up and she wont pick up off the ground. With it held down by my hand and full throttle I noticed no lift so I tried to pick it up and just about couldnt which tells me its all negative pitch. i havent changed anything about the settings or control links or anything any ideas? This is a esky honey bee cp2 |

| Re: extreme down force Hiya, No collective at all is wierd. To me this means one of 2 things. If its got a Mechanical collective control, which I doubt, then the Collective servo is either broken or unplugged. If its a CCPM machine (3 servos grouped round the head and work together to make collective) then it would be strange for all 3 to break at the same time so Im betting its something electronic (probably transmitter side). You sure that you havent turned one of the knobs (and zeroed the pitch curve) or put a switch in a different position? Failing that, drag the machine round to your local model shop and get them to take a look. either way it doesnt sound too bad really (certainly not a write off) Take care... Azzy

| Re: extreme down force thanks for the response I would need someone else with a honeybee cp2 to tell me their controller set up. I am down, up, down, up on the ail, ele, thr, and rud. I have reversed all of that and tried each individually and no change. It has 3 servos and the 4 in 1 mixer. There are no knobs on the tx so nothing to turn. all of the trims are in the middle. Nothing on the chopper itself has changed as I dont mess with it unless its broken. The reason I say its toast is because if I replace all 3 gyros at 9 bucks a piece and the 4 in 1 mixer at 50 then I am at 77$ plus shipping. The helicopter was only 120$ to begin with. if anyone has any other tests or ideas to try please let me know as I do not want to ditch it. Just hard to justify that much in parts for this heli. I have a raptor 60 and plan on getting a 450 size electric. This is just an around the house toy. |

| Re: extreme down force ok, think i got the downforce fixed. for some reason or somehow, i guess i did it and didnt realize it, but the motor connection was reversed. helicopter will now pick up..... but i have a tail problem. either the tail rotor spins out of control or wont spin at all. gain and proportion seem to be fine, half throttle and half tail and it comes up good but about the time it shoudl pick up the tail kicks out causing it to spin uncontrollably.... any ideas on that one? |

| Re: extreme down force Could the Gyro sense be reversed. On most gyros there is a switch to reverse the way the gyro works. This is not the servo reverser. Sounds like it might be that. In normal operation when the heli spins up the gyro tries to compensate for a left movement by moving the tail servo right. When the sense is wrong, the gyro compensates for a left movement by moving the tail servo LEFT. This of course means that it tries to compensate more.. so more left. Take care.. azzy
