Thumbs up :: another Newbie here ::

hello everyone,

first of all i would like to say that i am happy that i found this forum. although this is my second post, i know lots of members here are willing to help and give some tips and some tricks on newbies like me.

i used to own a Global Shogun 400 3d V1 that i bought from someone here but ended up selling it. i have never tried to hover it since i don't have the right equipment. so last couple of weeks, i've been looking to buy another one and saw a Helimax MX400 on towerhobbies for $59.00. got an email for towerhobbies and got a $20 off when purchase $49.00 or more. so i bought the copter. futaba radio, futaba gy240 gyro, micro servos and battery charger. i still need to set it up. then i found some aluminum and carbon fiber hop ups for cheap and couldn't pass. so i am in process of building a fully hop-ups heli.

so since i will have 2 heli (1 stock/1 upgraded) i was having second thought of selling the stock or use it as my training heli. i don't have my own simulator but i go to my local hobby shop and the owner let me practice if there's no customer (he got realflight 3.5). i can pretty much handle it even some few tricks but i know there's some difference between flying on simulator and actual. so you guys think using my stock 1 as a training helicopter would be a good idea?

thank you guys

Yes I think it's a good idea to have more than one heli I have 4, and one is in the shop for repairs all the time.
