Are CNC/metal parts worth the money?

Re: Hello, new guy here

Hi there,

Welcome

Well they look better on the heli and they make the heli more crash resistant in some places however in a crash they move the weak points to more expensive to fix areas and they still can bend. So for a beginner. its doubtful that they are worth it. For an intermediate to experienced flyer, some "slop" is eliminated so the helis fly a bit better so possibly worth the money once your entering fast forward flight.

Hope this helps.... Azzy

Re: Hello, new guy here

Azzy is correct. when you crash (and you will) somethings got to give, so if your always bending feathering shafts and you upgrade to a larger one then something else is going to give like the blade grip ball link holder or something. Just like in my power boat, upgraded the stock prop to a stainless steal one. Well guess what, now instead of just bending the prop it takes out the drive gears! The new stainless steal prop was unscaved.
