Lightbulb Motor Cooling

So i paintball and do someother stuff like that well my friends do cars and airplanes and i do boats and helis ( well sorta ) ha ah and one thing that is simillar throght these hobbies is that motors get hott!! and it is sometimes hard to cool them down. So i thought well if you were to take a co2 tank and hook it up to a coil and wrap it around the motor ( sorta like water cooling an engine) it could cool down the motor incredably fast and withought harm to the motor. I havent done anytests yet but im going too!

Just wanted to know what you guys think about my idea? has this already been done? If so, is it on the market?

Thanks,
Blake

Re: Motor Cooling

The only thing I use on the Trex I have is a 'heatsink' this clips onto the motor casing...seems to work well enough...the fins stick out into the airflow coming off the fan thats part of the main gear/cog.

Try your experiment
