| Gyro for Raptor 90 Hello all. I was curious as to what gyro folks are useing on a Raptor 90. I have a Raptor 50 Titan with a Futaba 401 w/ a 9254. I have another one new in the box and considered useing it on the 90, but I have been looking at the 611 as well, but just wanted some imput and suggestions. I am also looking for some hints on a good govener for the 90 also. I have a OS 91 Hyper in it. Didnt know if I should consider the GV-1 or what. Prices arent as big a concern as a good quality unit.

| I would recommend using the Futaba 611. It's a great gyro to have on your Raptor 90 especially if you're going to do some crazy stunts and push your helicopter to its extreme. I actually have a 601 now on my Freya and it responds faster than a cat being sprayed with water. I believe you might be able to get away with using 401, especially if you're not going to do some crazy stunts that require a faster input from the gyro. As for the governor GV-1, its a great call. I have one and I fall in love with it every time I see it. |

| Re: Gyro for Raptor 90 Well, that confirms what I was thinking. The 401 I have is new in the box, so I will just exchange it towards, the 611. Looks like I will go ahead and go with the GV-1 as well. I was thinking of use Futaba 9351's servos on the Raptor 90, any suggestions on the throttle servo with GV-1? a 9252 perhaps?

| Re: Gyro for Raptor 90 The 9351 has good torque and good response time. As for the throttle, I might consider something with a faster response time. Maybe, something below, I say 10 seconds like 9254. ![]() Also, one of the good things about the throttle is that it doesn't really need that much torque from the servo to make it react. Let me know if you have any more questions I will help you the best I can. |

| Re: Gyro for Raptor 90 I am sure I will have more questions. I am new to rc helis. I have spent the last 25 yrs involved in rocketry, with the last 10 yrs in high power rocketry. Been wanting to get into helis for about 12yrs now, was just so busy with the rockets. I am very happy to be into this now. I lost all my rocket stuff to a flood this past August, seemed to be a good time to make the switch. Thanks for your help Kalonzo, I am sure I will need more.
