Question dragonfly tail rotor issue

I recently bought a dragonfly of ebay (my first helicopter) and I've slowly been trying to learn how to fly it and at the same time, learn how all the parts work. So, it was working just fine up until a day ago when the tail rotor stopped spinning fast enough to keep the helicopter straight. When I start by giving it just a little power everything seems all right, but as I gradually increase the power I find myself having to compensate more and more just to keep the helicopter from spinning wildly to the right until at last i cant push the toggle any more over.
I read somewhere that the little gear that attaches to the tail propeller might be the issue but after checking that, everything seems to be meshing correctly. Anyone have any ideas?

thanks!

Re: dragonfly tail rotor issue

Could be the tail motor is failing.
