Angry great another set of blades ruined!!

doesnt matter how many times i try to set this df60# up it never gets any better just gets worse today i pulled up and it drifts to the left fast doesnt matter how much trim i put on plus if i put to much trim on it lent to far to the right hence the damaged blades got training gear on but makes no diferance pluss to add to injury the tail boom has moved inwards making the belt loose so the hely was spinning out of control didnt know why until i inspected it closer i cant adjust the tail boom at the moment cos my allen key has rounded itself so now it doesnt grip the bolt the winter is comming fast so not many flying time left! this walkera is breaking me!!! ive made my mind up now i think am just gonna save up for a trex 450 in the mean while buy a sim and just use that i feel like throwing the df60 in the bin! it should be called rtc (ready to crash) not rtf lol when i got it it arrived with no scews for the motor then i realised the main gear wheel isnt level then the grub screw worked loose on the rudder holder so that fell off lost the grub scew for it so ii had to order a new rudder shaft!!
sorry about the moaning but i needed t get all that of my chest lol i havnt had any luck with his hely feels like am banging my head against a wall!!

I feel your pain Carl
My 37 is kicking my ***, I want to shoot it!
But seriously the 60 is probably Walkeras most capable Heli but the 36 is I think the best for the general public as it is easier to setup and fly. In retrospect I wish that I had bypassed the whole fixed pitch thing in the first place because until I got my 36 I was ready to quit Helis period! But when I got the 36 trimmed out I found out that it wasn't me that was the problem it was the lousy tail motored, fixed pitch, 300 size heli that was unflyable in any condition.
Anyway sorry to vent when you are having problems that I haven't really helped with.LOL

Re: great another set of blades ruined!!

Bummer! Ive learned that its not only that the heli is well ballanced IE: the blades, the heli as a hole, the fly bar, the controler also, their are so many variables at that rotor speed that anything just 1 tick off will cause problems. The setup is more difficult than flying, If you get everything just right the heli will float (aprox 3 feet abouve ground to stop ground effects) without very much input. Dont get me wrong even in a com wind it will always drift to the left do to the tail rotor pushing to counter the main blades, it wont just set there and hover, but if everything is (perfect) it will almost do so. You will know when it is well balanced because when it starts to spool up their will be little or no vibration, Just like your celing fan in the house. The slower it goes the more wobbly the faster the least wobbly but the mor eratic!!

Re: great another set of blades ruined!!

Hey I forgot to mention that helidirect sells a great set of "indistructable" main blades for six bucks usd that I have found to be indespensable for setting up Helis.
I have a set on my 36 that has survived a dozen or more crashes and are still going strong!
They are also heavier at the tips so they auto like crazy and that seems to help keep the blades from stopping too suddenly when they hit the ground wich seems to keep head damage to a minimum.
