Hi.... New here... Hi all.. Been reading around here and like the site... I am on my second Heli now. The first was a cp pro, expensive mistake. I found out that it was not learning friendly.. I have since sold it and bought a 450XL and am currently learning how to hover it. I love this Heli, very stable and alot more forgiving as I learn how to fly it. How long does it take before you don't freak out when the heli goes higher then 8 ft??? I know that it's going to get there some day but everytime it goes up I freak out and bring it down, luckily not hard but just enough to make the hands sweat a little..LOL I have been flying gliders and nitro planes for 15 years, so I am not new to the hobby and to be honest I really did not think that Heli's would be this difficult to learn.. Man was I wrong on that call.. I will learn this, I am having fun learning how to fly something new.. Sean

| Re: Hi.... New here... Hello and welcome crashagain, I know what you mean! I have been flying Helis a short time also and it is difficult to get used to the different views you get at different angles and altitudes, But just like airplanes soon you will find that altitude is life just as soon as you feel comfortable looking at it from an up angle. There is alot of different "feels" of flying Helis as forward flight is different from hovering and these things are faster than you would first think And also even though the bigger they are the easier they are to fly you have a very responsive bird in your Trex, and the bigger they are the bigger the adrenalin rush! So just take your time getting comfortable with your Heli and it will get easier. Welcome again, Huey

Re: Hi.... New here... Take your time with the learning....and push yourself a little bit at a time...concentrate on holding a good hover....and practice that landing...be as gentle as possible... The Trex is not the easiest heli to fly....but once you get the idea they are not so bad. My next heli will be a TRex for sure...probably the S version. Yes...the bigger the heli the bigger the rush! had a 30 minute blast yesterday morning with the Predator...wow that thing is fast...but very stable to hover. Rob

Re: Hi.... New here... I'm thinking about a TRex and wanted to know how you are doing after moving from the CP. I started with a Blade CX and then bought a CP Pro which has cost me - frustration over how difficult this thing is. Is the TRex easier, better for outdoor flight? And which TRex 450 should I get.

Re: Hi.... New here... Hi there, I just got myself a Trex 450 XL...its the HDE version. I have been flying helis for almost 3 yrs now...started with a Nitro 30 size and have now got a monster Predator 231 gasser. The Trex is a blast! lovely little Heli...parts are cheap...upgrades are big choice and this type of Heli has a HUGE following. I bought the XL HDE becuase it was withing what I wanted to spend...I paid £200 sterling for mine...this included battery, gyro, servos, motor,ESC etc...the bare basics because I already had a Radio and spare RX. I have found the Trex is a responsive heli to fly....but its not savage....I cant speak for the Blade CP...but what you might find is that the Rex just oozes quality from the 'get go'. Try this site for some pointers: www.trextuning.com Rob
