went to my local club this weekend it was awesome. About 15 heli pilots, all with so much info for a newbie like me. Highlight was some guy came flying over in his real chopper leaning out laughing and waving at everyone. Wicked cool Took my bird down and let them give it the once over, took about 2 hours to find the place, basically driving, then killing the engine listening for em. They pointed out a lot of things that I hadn't done quite right, so ive made those corrections and they said they'll give it another look on tuesday when I go to the meeting to hopefully join. Never thought I would be interested in a club, I just wanted setup help, but once I got there my feelings changed entirely, would reccommend anyone getting down to their local club :-)

Re: went to my local club this weekend I completely agree with you. A club can be a blessing in the sky. You get lots of people that know exactly were you coming from.

Re: went to my local club this weekend Heck Man! if you went to a club and the members were too serious and fussy they wouldnt attract no one.....You made the right move there. Wish I had a club when I started out.....I went it alone with the help of www.rotory.com and its members for help. I would still like to attend a club to see if there are any improvments I can make to my helis set up and how I fly. Rob
