Newbie NEED HELP

Hello everyone, my name is Louie. I'm new to the helicopter hobby thing.

here's a couple of question that anyone could help me out.

1. is there a site that I could buy a helicopter with everything I need to fly. Something thats right out of the boxs?

2. I need something cheap for now like something close to $200 or so...

3. Would it be a good idea to buy off of ebay?

4. which one is better gas or electric?

I found a couple of helicopter on ebay but I notice that some of them don't have the remotes.

I'm trying to understand everything, but having a hard time. I love the hobby. but like everyone else I have to start from the bottom up.

Like i sayed I need a helicopter that I could take out of the box and fly ....

Thank you all for the help..

Louie

okay first of all dont go to ebay for N E THING.. search www.froogle.com ... also Im new to this stuff too but I got my helicopter from www.raidentech.com it is very good and ledgit... another words.. they have very goood, cheap helicopters that come with everything installed and ready to go... dont try to build your first helicopter... also most helicopters have landing gear that tends to come off a lot when u land fast... thats a good thing because nothing breaks... also the helis from raidentch are equipped with blades that dont break when hitting the ground.... you should also get the speacial training landing gear so that when you crash your blades wont tear up everything else. spending the extra 9 bucks is worth it. o yeah.. the site has all of the spare parts if needed for all of their helicopters. a simulation kit is no good. its just not the same as getting out there and flying the real thing. thats what I did and after 2 weeks or so I was flying upside down! trust me you shouldnt get a simulation kit unless it comes with the helicopter a long with a crash kit or something. dont by the simulation kit. not worth it at all.

You work for Raidentech or sumtin ? I've been following your postings and you've repeated the URL on half your postings.

All these could be interpreted as a SPAM.

Hi, I've been lurking here as a guest for the last month or so but just had to say something.

Gosh!!

quite the expert here aint you Nas???

I understand that when you get your first heli it can be quite exiting but you need to calm down a bit there dude!!!

Strange that in your other posting YESTERDAY you said that you cant even get your Three day old fixed pitch heli more than 3 inches off the floor, so quite how you could now be flying inverted on a fixed pitch heli (which cant fly inverted by the way! ) that you claim to have been flying for two weeks even tho you only said you got it at the weekend is a bit beyond me

Simulators are a must if you are keen on progressing into the hobby in any kind of way as they can save you a fortune in crash costs, even the freeware ones have a use to help you learn to co-ordinate your thumbs.

I have bought loads of stuff from Ebay and never had a problem yet, whilst you need to be a little carefull and check out feedback, other items of the same description for price differences etc, there is no reason that Ebay is a bad thing, you 'can' get some very good deals on there (dont get me wrong, you can get ripped off if your not carefull too)

So in finishing, welcome to the hobby, just learn to calm down, stop spamming the forum, (it really annoys the regulars), and do some research, have a go at reading the rest of this site, you might find that some of the members here, including Colin (the owner of the site) actually know what they are talking about as they have had more than three days experience.

1 yes there is a site 2 200 bucks can get u something pretty nice 3 NO DO NOT BUY OFF OF EBAY... SELLERS ARE CROOKS AND THERE IS NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT.4 electric is wa bettah because its cheaper, easier, and safer to maintain and does all the things a gas heli can do. go to www.raidentech.com for the best prices on good helis.. I bought mine and crashed MANY TIMES and didnt have many issues other than a few bent parts which are easy to fix.. and all of their helis are totally put togeather. great shipping too.
