red and green lights are flashing

heloo everyone i am a somewhat newbie to rc helis and i bought one about 2 months ago now after crashing it and finally getting new parts it turns out that my heli wont respond when i plug the battery in a green light holds steady with a small red light flashing i do not know what could be causing this

i have a gyro operated fixed pitch electric helicopter with a main blade and a flybar if anyone can help me, point me in the right direction, or if you need more details just let me know please help,joe

Is the receiver a separate board from the gyro/mixer board? If you do then I think the green led is for the gyro/mixer and the red is for the receiver, and the red flashing led means its not receiving signal. I'd check the transmitter batts and make sure the crystals are in their sockets good, then is you still got nothing get a new receiver board.
