Unhappy Pretty please with sugar on top, I need help!

Hiya Folks,

I am in the process of getting my Raptor e620 airbourne.

On the advice of my LHS I decided to go with a 9S setup (3x11.1/4800) Thundertiger motor (OBL 49/08) and ESC (Ace RC BLC-75), 9/111 ratio, Futaba 401 Gyro. When I went to make the purchase they realised that the specs on the ESC had changed and now it is suited to a 6S (22.2V) setup. Dissapointed , with the amount of money (<$1000) being spent and details like that being overlooked. I wanted to go flying.....and I still do.
Again I took their advice......I could run it on 6S. I questioned weather I'd get enough headspeed and they said it should be fine. So they refunded one of the Lipos and I went home hopeful that I'd be flying soon.
Headspeed ended up being 780 and no thats not per second. That ain't gonna lift preverbial!
Now if I go back to 9S and wait for the ESC to come in then I might not get a refund on the 6S ESC I have installed. And the other way round, I might not be able to exchange the motor I have for a 6S can.

Could one of you kind fellow flying souls please spell it out in black and white for me? What I need that is. I know most might think that I can easily find the info on the web, but I struggle with a dail-up connection. I have spent some time (at work) browsing and I thought I knew what a good setup would be. But now, again I have no idea and I also can't tell bad advice from good advice.

Thanks in advance if you can help.

I would take the ESC back and get what the TT manual suggest. If you are not sure call TT tech dept and they will give you the correct info. Go to the source as they say.
