Re: IS it common to ask a question and get no answers???

Hi there,

No, usually somebody will answer your question, though this forum doesnt run at the pace of say runryder (because there are fewer people in it). So it might take a couple of days or so to get a reply. Sometimes people will look at a question just not know the answer leaving it for somebody who has better knowlege.

I understand how this can me frustrating though.

Take care and welcom to the forum BTW... Azzy

Re: IS it common to ask a question and get no answers???

I am new and will read a post to see if I can glean any new or insightful information from it. I am so new there is usually nothing I can add or say, except to add positive remarks.

This is a great bunch of people who do this for the enjoyment, not because they have to.

Re: IS it common to ask a question and get no answers???

Hi, Most of the members on this forum use their common sense. Everyone knows somethink about heli's, but not everything. Rather than give bad information, they give none at all. I haven't posted for days because there was no question I could answer, but I kept looking to see if I could help.
There are many members here that can help and will in any way, if they have the answer to the question.

The people here are great, stick with us and you'll see!!!

All the best Neil..

E-Flite Blade cp pro Rotors wearing down fast........

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am new to heli's to start off..... So let me get that out of the way. My questions is this.. Is it possible to make my own set of practice rotors so I dont have to keep spending the 15 bucks for new one when I grind the tips off of them and keep making them shorter (not on purpose).. I Am an accomplished fixed wing builder just new to heli's. I have a lot of wood material Balsa, Bass wood etc....

Just curious and trying to be cheap for a change.. if there is a better way , Would rather spend the hour making them then driving hour and a half to buy them..

Some people do, so the answer to your question is yes, it is possible to make your own blades, as long as you have the time , money, materials, and know how. As for myself and 99.9 percent of the other flyers on this site, we spend the 15 bucks.

i can see why some would not bother to answer your question. many would think it dangerous to think about making your own blades, if you have ever seen a blade come off a helly then you would not be thinking about building your own. if driving is too far get them posted it has got to be better for the health
