Re: need everything

Hi there,

Welcome to the forums

Your best bet is to do like you say and post some pictures of it. Also, its worth looking at any plastic mouldindings on the machine (frame / maybe canopy / tail stabs ect) to see if there is a company name stamped on there. That will help immensely it will also help when you come to try to get parts for it. You have a gallery space on here, post on to there and then link in.

Hope this helps... Azzy

Re: need everything

Hi there,

From my limited knowlege of old helis, I think that is a Schluter Heliboy. Seaking... Can you help with this mate?.

If Im right, its a really old machine and getting spares for it will be next to impossible. Any ideas what you wanna do with it?

Take care... Azzy

Re: need everything

if the guy got the helly the same time as the tx theres no way you will get parts for it now, hang it in your work shop and get a new kit that would be the best thing for it

Re: need everything

Might be a Schluter "Magic". I had a Heliboy and the front end didn't look like that; maybe it's a different version. Mine was a .30. But I think what you have is a Schluter; the mechanics looks familiar. I'd say it's pretty old... maybe back in the 80's. I had several Schluters in the 80's. You sure aren't likely to get any parts. But, it would be kinda fun to resurect that old bird.

Re: need everything

Hi, as a side line project rebuilding that "old bird" would be fun but I would not think of learning with it. You will need a good sound reliable model that you can get parts easy, even cheaply. or you may find you will spend your time not at the flying site but on the net or at model shops looking for parts all the time. just a thought.. have fun
