Hi again,

Another new poster has just asked a similar question, so here's the same advice to you:

You're doing the right thing, posting the question on model helicopter forums.

BUT: also pop into your local model helicopter shops. At the end of the day you will need to depend on them for spares or to help out. The people who answer your question in forums will probably never meet you, and won't be around to help when it comes to building, setting up, and repairing your new toy. The local model helicopter shops close to you will.

You will make your decision based on:
- Do you think the machine looks great?
- How much you can afford: it's your money, no-one else's.
- MOST IMPORTANT: Support: Will you be able to get help, spares, and advice for those times when you crash, or just want to upgrade. Can you afford the price of the repairs.

Finally, do get FMS to practice with - it's free, but crashes in the real world aren't.

hi andrew [heli's 4 life]

i agree with darren but for 400 $ you should be able to find
a good 30 size raptor ,parts are easy to find and a crash kit
is at a reasonable price.
keep in mind that most heli's for sale are ther because
someone baught it cause it looked cool, they never had a helping
hand so after a few crashes it's fixed up & 4-sale.
mitch means no proper set up ,this doesn't mean it's no good
just not ready to fly just yet.

i was lucky to have good friend near by to help with all this
so now i try to help as many people as possible.
since we probably live miles &miles apart when you'r
ready i can give u my phone number and talk to you in person
step by step as you need be

happy shoping

steff
