hello all

Hi all,
I got an eagle 50 at christmas time, and having flown a micro electric with f/p and gotten the hang of that (prettymuch) thought i was ready for the eagle. Guess i wasn't. Ennyhow I now have to get some replacement parts, flybar link etc... From reading the forums so far i have surmised that my spin problem resulted from imrpoper gyro adjustment, so... can anyone tell me, or post photo of where gyro adjusment screw is, and also it appears to me that the eagle 50 is just a different marketing name for the walkera dragonfly22e
is this the case and if not does anyone know the fundamental differences?
thanx for any info/help

Re: hello all

I have not actually seen this helicopter and don't know what the gyro is like. If there is any adjustment on your gyro it is usually marked with (rev) this is the gyro reverse switch and it is what your hinting you can't find. Not all gyro's have this switch in place, with these gyros you simply reverse there direction by turning them upside down.
I would ask that you are sure that it is the gyro that is the problem?

The way to be sure that the gyro is the cause is by trying this out.turn on your TX (radio transmitter)
With the heli powered up (but blades not spinning, Disconnect the motor if elec) normally, the tail blades should move with the leading edge going to the left when you give a right input on your rudder. They should move the leading edge to the right when the rudder stick is toggled to the left.
If your tail blades move as described then all well and good. If they do not move the correct way, then you will have to reverse the direction of the servo using one of the servo reverse switches on your radio.your looking now for the rudder rev switch. when done check the movement again.

Just check to see if the gyro is moving the wrong way now before we alter it.
again with the TX on and the heli powered up, wait for the gyro to set then you need to hold your heli and turn it to the left.
You now want your tail blades to move the leading edge to the left to counter the turn. If the heli is turning left and the gyro moves the tail blade leading edge left all is good.
If your tail blades move the leading edge right you need to reverse your gyro. If you don't have a rev switch then you can turn the gyro upside down to achieve the same affect.
Again check that the gyro is functioning correctly. If all is good you should be ready to go. Just fine setting to be done and your away.
