Hallo everybody.......

Hallo everybody, I'm Gerry from Italy, I'm new of the forum and I'm beginner about helicopter. I think I'm almost crazy since I bought a Walkera E22 as my first helicopter, maybe I'd had to start with somethings easier.
I have a question, does anybody know where can I find the assembly plans of the E22, in detail I need to disassembly the uniballs, (due to trim the main rotor) but they are hard to remove and I'm afraid to break the plastic balls.
Besides since the helicopter I bought was aseembled and ready to fly, the first time I flew I found out It was instable becouse It tended to go straight in front even if the trim on the control was full back. I noticed that the plate of the main rotor is not perfect horizontal an it is turned towards the nose of the helicopter and I'm think there is somethings wrong, does anybody help me?

Thanks a lot.

Gerry.

Re: Hallo everybody.......

Welcome. I am not sure what to tell you about your heli. Does it come with a manual. If so there should be assembly directions in there.

Re: Hallo everybody.......

Hello. It sounds like your heli is like most 'RTF straight from the box' models. My Twister CP V2 was apparently 'test flown' but l had to take it to bits and reassemble it before it would! Take the blades off, power up the Tx & Rx, centre the servos and then set the horns so that the swashplate is level with the blade holders, in both directions - with the Tx trims central. Oh and you have a better command of the English language than most of the users on here!

Re: Hallo everybody.......

Hello Gerry,

Welcome to the forum.

If the 22E is the heli Im thinking of (T-Rex clone) you'll need to get a set of "ball link pliers" from a model shop. These allow you to remove the ball links. However, If I were you, I'd take the model to your local model shop or club and ask them to set it up for you. I understand that you wont learn anything from this but as you learn to fly, you'll learn what you need to do to set up the heli and it means that you have the best chance of learning because the heli is set up correctly.

Take care.... Azzy

Re: Hallo everybody.......

Hi Jerry9

This is my first post

Just a little background about me.

I got my Walkera60 as a Xmas present and like a child, I waited up till midnight to open it.

Unfortunately for me Lipo batteries are shipped, 30% charged. Anyway, having flicked through the manual, I decided to see if the heli worked.

Batteries installed, I pushed the throttle forward and the blades, started to spin. I was having great fun. I pushed the throttle further and as expected the head speed increased. I was grinning from ear to ear, my wife, was happy to see me happy.

By moving the throttle stick, to the right, I managed to stop the heli turning anti clockwise. I'm good at this, I thought.

This was great fun.

In my not so sober state I continued pushing the throttle, wondering, when it would takeoff.

The wife went to bed and left me to it.

I twisted this knob, turned that one and just explored.

Ah, I thought, I haven't flicked this switch yet, what does 3D , then I did.

The helicopter took off, rose to about five feet, veered to the left, and somehow managed to fly out of the half open living room door.

Crash bang wallop, I opened the door and found my helicopter with two broken main rotors, a bent tail boom, both stabilizers in shreds, a snapped see saw and later, it transpired, the speed controller didn't work.

I've spent money on spares time on repairs and to date, haven't managed to fly the dam thing.

Yesterday, I was determined to get my baby to fly. I set the rotor pitch and tinkered with the gyro.

Today, I was going to set the flight envelope. Unfortunately and for some unknown reason the component holding the main gear, was shattered and the tail servo isn't working.

I hope your luck is better than mine.

PS. If you intend to carry on with your hobby, maybe you should consider moving close to a model shop.
