Thumbs down Placing an order from Wonderhobby, bad choice

Hey guys,
I just want to drop a note to you all to be very careful when placing an order with Wonderhobby.

I have placed two seperate orders with them over the past nine months and so far have had two bad experiences.

The last one, just last week, I placed an order totaling $46.00 on the 16th of March.
On the 19th, I received a shipping confirmation from them complete with shipping number and all.
Then, on the 22nd, I received a phone call saying the parts I have ordered are not in stock. They have shipped nothing.
After trying to work with them for a week now, this is the response I received today: (March 29, 2007)
"Dear Customer,

Out of stock items are usually restocked in 4-8 weeks. If you wish to place a future order for the item, check back then to see if they are available for ordering."

I don't know about you, but after placing an order, and having received a shipping number, I would think they could be a little more personalized and understanding. I would expect as a customer, they would at least try clear up whatever error occurred, do what they can to get the parts in, and try to retain their customers.
Like I mentioned earlier, this is the second time in nine months, the first time I ordered, it was pretty much the same.

I'll update this when I find out if I get credited back my money or if the Credit card company has to pull some teeth to get the money back.

Re: Placing an order from Wonderhobby, bad choice

Hi Hangman,
A friend of mine had the same hassle over here. Sometimes I think it's easier to phone and confirm the stock before commiting to the order.

Good luck

Neil.
