Newbie Question

Hello to all,
I just got into Heli's and bought a Dragonfly 4 to start with. But there seem's to be a problem with it. (I have had other RC's Boat's,Car's,Plane's) Tried to test it out when I got it and charging the batt. Swashplate work's fine, tail rotor work's fine, but main rotor will not power up with controller. I think there may be a wiring goof on it. Manual show's receiver set up like this:
RUD to rear of heli
Throttle to motor
Power to Batt

Mine is:
RUD to rear
Throttle to Batt.
Power to motor

So if the manual is right mine is setup wrong?
I can't swap connection's because they won't match up right as is and I don't want to cut wire's yet in case it need's to be sent back.

Anyone got any idea's? By the way the motor does work, when plugged straight to the battery to test it. Thank's, Ken

Re: Newbie Question

It should work right out of the box, and I think you've done a good job evaluating the situation. I wouldn't make any modification unless there's no hope of getting the seller to straighten this out. Ship it back is my vote.

Re: Newbie Question

Thank's, Ya, sending it back is probably the best bet. I just am anxious to use it!
