Hi from a Newbie!!!!

Hello!!! Well! ive been looking around on here for a few weeks and thought id make my first post!! Ive just bought a Raptor V2 with OS 32sxh... which should be here for Friday( Yipee) also ive got 5 Hitec 605bb servos (are these good servos?)

Not sure what gyro to get yet!!??

Also been practicing lots on CSM and can hover tail in and nose in proficently now Cant wait for the real thing.

Does any-one live near Skipton in Yorkshire and wouldnt mind checking over the raptor for me once its built? Much apprecited!!

Welcome Raptorsy,
I live in Dewsbury, quite close about 20 miles at the most. Unfortunatly, I am new to this sport too. It will be nice to keep intouch, as you live the closest to me ( i think ). It would make a nice sunday out, flying helis together

ey RaptorSy welcome to the sport.
DO NOT use those servos!!!!!
they do not work well for helis...hitech says not to use them for helicopters...they get sloppy after a while.

go to www.heliproz.com and look around for servos and gyros..they have everything you need for your raptor.

Hi dredge3,

yyeah Dewsbury aint to far from me at all. Would be good to have some-one to fly with some time, Unfortunately i aint even got light on the training undercarriage yet ill be struggleing for time to build as im very busy at work for the next few weeks.

Thanks for the advice 2kul! Ive got them left over from racing 1/8th scale rally cross (I used em on the throttle and brakes as they are quite quick). I'll take a look around for some different servos!

LOL!!!! I havn't even got a heli mate We have a new mouth to feed (BOY THIS TIME) No more dollys....remote everything, here we come
I should get 1 about next summer, so you will be able to show me a thing or 2

Me and the Girlfreind havent had any kids yet so im quite fortunate in that I can spend my money on silly things at the moment!!!! We'll have to meet up before next summer and have a chat and a beer! somewhere
