| My new heli I just thought I would let everyone know what I have decided on for my first RC Helicopter. I decided on this because it is easy to fly, and seemed like a logical start into this hobby. This is what I am getting delivered. Bell 47G Main Rotor Diameter: 345mm Length: 430mm Height: 165mm Weight RTF w/Battery: 212 g Main Motor: 180 motor Battery: 7.4V 800mAh Li-Po Transmitter: FM 4-Channel Servo: High-Speed, High-Torque On-Board Electronics: 4-in-1 Receiver/ Mixer/ ESC/ Gyro. I should get it by next week. I am looking forward to my first flight. Please let me know if anyone has any good or bad experiences with this model. Thanks Jordan |

| Re: My new heli Hi, The bell 47g is a stable heli to fly it is stable to the piont that I have heard it is somtimes prone to pitching up and down in forward flight as the heli's design trys to steady itself. you should have no problem flying it. It will not however do much to help you move on in the hobby. It will boost your confidence but wont need you to do much flying of it other than controlling the throttle. This will leave you lacking when and if you decide to move on to a single rotor Heli. It is important to remember this. I would recomend useing a simulator whilst flying this model so that you learn to control the heli rather than have a heli that almost flys itself. ![]()

| Re: My new heli I have the same heli...its a great indoor heli which will give you a taste of rc heli flying.....the fact that the controls are there and work will give you some experience...but like Daz said...if you move onto other helis like a single rotor type then there will be some big differences. For what you pay for its a great intro....I would upgrade one or two parts though....the lower and upper rotor hubs can break if you fly into something....the upgrades are alloy...and are not that expensive... So....upgrade the hubs and get loads of spare sets of blades....if a blade gets cracked it is fixable using super glue. Try not to hover/fly for prolonged periods...the motors do get very hot...they are not high performance as such...but who cares. I love my little Bell 47....its been nothing but fun since it came out of its box ![]() Rob |

| Re: My new heli Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking of using this to pratice flying front/back facing so I get used to the controls. The box comes with a simulator program and usb for the PC so I will be using that as well for a little more realistic helicoptor. I have tried a simulator at a friends place, and they are amazing. I can do some fair flying with it....but I know it isnt the same, and mistakes will not cost me time and money, Again thanks for the feedback, Jordan |
