Cheap polystyrene planes

Because I don't get to fly my model heli that often (well, not at all really!!), I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago to satisfay my flying craving:

Very inexpensive, yet fun.

(Side note: If you're in the UK, Argos are currently giving these away free if you buy an Air Rebounder radio controlled car. My kids get the car, I get the plane :-))

I'm not sure, but it might be a way for novice flyers to get used forward flight orientation. For example, when the plane's coming towards you, you will get used to which direction to input on the radio to get the plane to turn the way you want it (reversed to if the plane's flying away from you)

Plus it crashes exceptionally well. (I've see it nose in and cartwheel when I let my little one have a go)

Very portable (which is one reason I don't get to fly my model heli because of all the starting equipment and fuel that has to be carried with it) - charger and radio in the backpack, plane in the hand.

Downside is the short flight time, but the recharge time is equally short (about 2 minutes flight, about 3-4 minutes recharge). Recharging is a case of plugging a small cable into a battery box and pressing a button to get the automatic, and timed, charger started.
