Hello-n00b here

Hi everyone! This is a great forum you all have and Im glad to be a part of it. I just purchaced a Walkera Dragonfly#4 as my first helicopter. Ive had a few remote control cars/trucks, but nothing else. I also have an Extra 330L aerobatic plane, but I guess thats for a different forum huh?
The plane is nice(although I havent learned to fly it yet), but the complexity of the heli is much more fascinating, I must admit! Im looking forward to getting to know the regulars of this board.

Hello longbedGTs. Let me do my 2 cents worth of welcoming.

Nice looking heli ya got there. This is a great hobby. Lots to learn, and it takes a while to catch onto these contraptions. I recommend getting some training gear and proceeding gently. A simulator is a big help also. And the folks here are a pretty helpful bunch. Lotsa good times ahead. Figure on having to do some repair somewhere along the way. That's part of the hobby also.

Hi LongbedGTs
Welcome aboard. I hope your ready for the addiction.
That's a good little trainer Heli you've got there a lot of pilots have started off with the #4. It should take a pretty good beating wile you learn the basics of Helicopter flight . I completely agree with chaos he gives some really good advice. Keep us posted on your progress and good luck. I'll be looking forward to seeing you on the boards.

Re: Hello-n00b here

welcome to the forum,

when you get going you will find there is a lot of information available and given freely. The best thing about this hobby is the people in it, since the day I started I craved for information and as the internet wasn't even thought of then. I quickly felt bad for asking advice as it doesn't come as freely at some feilds. The internet is great as you will find the people that usualy frequent these sights do so to feel good about helping as well as for the fact they love what they do.
So, Have a great time and welcome again.
