Axe CP

Well after weeks of fighting myself internally on which heli to get I finally broke down and got the Heli-Max Axe CP today. Now all I need is a nice day to go out and practice. Darned cold windy winter weather. The transmitter came on this thing with the idle up switch flipped toward the back of the transmitter. I am taking it that is the off position. At least I would like to think that it comes from the factory turned off. Last thing I need is for that thing to start up all of a sudden.

Re: Axe CP

I think you will enjoy this heli. I really like mine and it was nice that it comes with training gear and an instructional DVD. If you see any blade grips at your LHS buy them, all they have. The blade grips seem to break pretty easy in a crash and they are in short supply right now. I would also recomend removing the screw that holds the tail motor mount, apply some lock tite and re install. The screw vibrated loose on mine and I can't seem to find a new one. None of the spare parts come with the screw. Not even the screw pack that is suppose to have al the screws. I had to take a longer screw and cut it down.

I don't know which way the idle up is off but you need to be sure about it. If the manual doesn't make this clear, keep out of the way of the blades when you turn the heli on and be ready to turn it off if the blades start turning.

Re: Axe CP

Push the switch to the rear is off. Pulling it to the front is on. At least this is the way it is on mine.

Re: Axe CP

the blade grips are for sure the weakest link on the machine. I shelled out around 50 bucks for the aluminum grips. it was an awesome invstment because everyplace is always out of the plastic ones.
