| I noticed on ebay they sell blueprints to inexpensively build a whitman type training stand for a fraction of the cost. Does anyone know if these plans are available for free online? If so, please let me know, I couldnt find anyting on google. Thanks. |

| Re: Does anyone have blueprints for a heli training stand? I just took some old tent poles (fiberglass but aluminum would be even better) epoxy about 2 or 3 sections together adn then find the balance point (to get them balanced on the heli as good as possible). Drill some holes in some ping pong balls and hot glue or epoxy those on the ends of the poles. cross them in an X right at their balance points and then zip tie them to the skids with the center point directly under the main shaft (again for balance). thats it ! I have made fancier ones where the poles come out at an angle to absorb shock. If you want to make that one I can try to draw something up and send it to you. |
