| Re: Titan 50/First nitro Heli Hi Danny, Welcome to the forums ![]() For a machine the standard of the Titan, you'll be looking at decent kit, however I wouldnt say that you need to buy the ultimate in speedy gear unless your flying 3D (which Im guessing you arent yet). Im gonna recommend on Futaba since thats what Im running. For the Gyro Id probably have a Futaba GY401. Ive yet to hear a bad word about this gyro. With the 401 If buy the recommended tail servo. Thats the 9254 For servos, Id take the low end digital futaba the 3151 for the aileron, elevator and cyclic and a 3001 for the throttle. This combination will get you in my opinion the best value for your money. If JR is your bag, then go with the JR stuff EXCEPT for the gyro because Id still keep that. Hope this helps... Azzy

| Re: Titan 50/First nitro Heli Thanks for the help. Do you think the servos that come with the Spectrum DX-7 would be enough.....72oz of torque. |

| Re: Titan 50/First nitro Heli I'll be honest here, I dont know anything about these servos, you only need huge torque if your flying hard 3D however Ive just converted the 72oz you gave me to KG and it works out at 1.44Kg. When you compare that to the 3.1kg torque that the futaba servo produces (155oz I think) and the 3.0kg (150oz) torque that the 3001 produces (thats what I fly in my sceadu 30) I think my answer has to be no. These servos sound like theyd be fine for a T-Rex but for a big heli like the titan you are going to be pushing the spectrum servo very hard. If it does hold, it will run your battery down VERY quick. Just my opinion.... Azzy

| Re: Titan 50/First nitro Heli Ive got a futaba 9c and spektrum 7. For what you'll be doing, the spectrum servos will be fine.

| Re: Titan 50/First nitro Heli Kaji, Just curious, but which radio system do you like better. All around flying I mean do you notice any differences in the systems other than the Frequency aspect, because I know that is easier with the spektrum. Jeff
