ok I am addicted (walkra#36)

Got some good flight time . Learning to fly in my basement . Low level hovering mostly . Tricky wash out close to walls for sure. Well of course I did crash bound to happen they forgot the cd in my kit so cable but no cd . If someone has the program that would be grate I can practice while I fix. Any volenteering of tips and tricks would be nice too.
I love it, it is fun but i will keep a good supply of the most common parts. The blade holders have clamps with small tec screws they are now stiped from trying to tighten them up (on the main rotor side). there must be a better set up then that there is alot of slack there was none before . That is most of my damage which was to one blade holder and minor fly bar damage. Trying to see how close I could hover to a chair and I got to close . it was just a slite touch .
Just saying hi and that i have use this form for alot of info .very good spot I like it .

looking forward to meeting all

http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html is where you get the sim. its free. did you get the 10 pin sim cable or the mic jack cable? if its the mic jack go ahead and burn off the plastic and take the copper to the scrap yard...its worth more to you that way. if its the 10 pin, google "ppjoy", download and follow its instructions on how to setup youre tx.

Hey Rod, I just got the Walkera 36B, the simulater was emailed to me to be downloaded, I can forward it to you if you would like. The bad thing is, I got the stupid mic jack cord also, and I can't get it to work at all. I'm still learning to keep the tail still while it's on the ground, how does it handle once you get it in the air?

Have you found a new cord yet, if so where did you find one?

Yha I found the tail wing hard to a just . you can try setting the gyro a little higher in speed. it will keep the tail insync better . Just remember where it it was on default .i put mine right to the highest and then moved it back around a quarter turn or just a little more for hovering.(but watch out your can turn it to high you will know this because the tail servo will flutter and not respond right) with all this I have found it will still move a bit until you get the baby up. once hovering i barely had to adjust on the stick.I don't have my training gear (dog ate it) but i could see where it would come in handy to get the tail right. Also read the small manual (not enough) but it will show you where neutral is and how to adjust . because mine i found that the travel screwed it up a bit .So I reset the tail by unhooking servo and take Helli to full throttle with pitch at 0 and the tail rotor will set it self to neutral put stick at middle and there the tail rotor is perfect neutral.you may have to trim a bit from there. I found if you don't have Gage for angle for main blade you can do the same but a way more to the process. you have to look at it and think out what moves what.but be care full I fasten my down just to make sure , don't want a stupid thing to happen
keep track of battery time , I get about 10 min on 3 cell lipo because My batt got to low on the Rx side (batt on Helli)and it went out of control and caused a crash
tip start off bunny hopping it find out where on stick it actually gets air born that will help alot to get it up .
