At the top right of page 21 in the
manual here, there is a guide for setting up the pitch and throttle curves.
I found a
manual here for a 7202 and on pages 23 and 24 it tells how to set up the normal pitch/throttle curves.
The aircraft manual provides more than one setup but to start with it would be best to use the one shown for "general flight". You will need a pitch guage. You could also tame down the general flight setup to make it a bit more docile for a beginner.
Getting the mechanics adjusted properly is a pretty big deal with these things. That includes balancing the parts, especially the blades. Here are some links that may be of use.

If you can find some fellow heli pilots that would help. Regardless, it would be a good idea to install some training gear and keep the heli within a few inches of the ground to start with. Just hovering near the ground might not seem like much but it's not easy to do, it takes a lot of practice and when you can do it you will have made a major chunk of progress. It's a big help to work out on a simulator also.
Be sure to disconnect your motor when you're messing with the pitch setup... working on the pitch curve.
