I have a chance to buy a 1995 model 1001 xcell 60 gas 10 years old ,in good shape with lots of extra parts futaba 7ch fm only radio ,all servos, test stand and floats all alignment tools etc.Now the batteries of course will be shot but will everything else be ok.There are at least 3 sets of blades 2 tail rotors extra boom 2 engines a lot of parts ,heli is sitting on inflatable floats and the test stand is unique allows one to fly 7 foot radius and not get away $1000.00 canadian --is this a worth while purchase
Also for extra $500.00 3 built planes 3 kits 2 engines 1 radio all 10 yrs old

Re: a chance to buy complete outfir but older is it ok

If parts are available then go for it....the radio is probably ok to use....if its not a computer type radio thats ok.....its just the flexibility could be a bit limited.

Good idea to replce the batterys.....make sure the equipment hasnt been left connected to the batterys for this length of time......there can be a problem with internal corrosion of the wires......not good!!! if things have been disconnected...ie stored properly then you should be ok.

X cell 60 gas? is this a petrol engined heli?

Its up to you with the purchase......if the heli is in good condition....and you are happy then why not?
