Mode 1, Mode 2?

Just got a cheap helicopter, and am about to learn to fly it, currently the throttle is on the right, but I was thinking about changing throttle over to the left and having cyclic on the right as I think more people do this - am I right???

Thanks

Re: Mode 1, Mode 2?

I've seen video where 3d pilots use mode one, but I've seen lots of reference to people using mode 2 - just wondering what's the best/easiest/most versatile to learn on

I think it's just what you get used to. The Europeans seem to prefer mode 1, and mode 2 seems more popular in the west.

Here's a link to various modes and the pro/con.
