Exclamation Argh!!!

Okay, I have real flight 3 and I can hover and even forward flight pretty darn well in it. I even get the upside-down flight pretty well.. then when I try flying my E-Flite Blade CP, I can't even get it off the ground nicely. I think my CP is set up all wrong, I can't seem to get it up come off the ground straight... It always wants to go way forward and left. It seems to be in balance because I hung it from a string and it has no tilt in any direction. Someone please help this noobie out! Also, if anyone is from NJ, or close to south NJ please let me know so I can get some mentoring help. Oh, and how do I find a good place to fly? I've heard of places to go, but I know of none of them.

Re: Argh!!!

Disconnect the motor plug, zero the aileron and elevator trim, turn it on and check the swashplate to see if it's level. Run the throttle up and down and see if the swashplate stays "level" (perpendicular to the shaft). There is a tool for this but you can get pretty close by eyeballing it. Look from the side and also front or back. It sounds to me like your swashplate might be tilted a bit forward. You might need to adjust linkage or servo arm.

Move the rotor so that the flybar is sideways and pick the heli up by the flybar, near the root, and let it balance on your fingers. Of course it should be pretty level.

As for going to the left, it will do that because of the tail rotor. Normally a heli with a clockwise main rotor will need to lean a bit to the right to hover over a spot.
