Fms

Just a quick comment I down loaded a copy of FMS for the mac . It looks like
it will be a great help in learning to fly, graphics are simple but hay its free.
now I have to get a dummy control. Using the keyboard just does not cut it.

Re: Fms

Search the web because you can buy FMS with a controller....its not big bucks either.

I used FMS for a long time....I was using Easyfly at first....both sims were of a huge help to me....I was 10 mnths or so on these until I bought my first heli and radio etc.

Some folk can get scathing about FMS but for freeware it does a good job of introducing people to rc heli flight.

Re: Fms

Hey,
agree with Rob,

FMS is serving me just fine at the moment. It's not G3, but it's a perfectly serviceable sim. Once you gots the cash, upgrade. Meantime, no reason not to use it. It's a very rare occaision that you actually get more than you paid for.

G3 has dropped in price from this supplier. If you have the bucks, consider this from VILenin on the forum:

http://www.helifever.com/forums/gett...ht-g3-pricing/

Works for me - I know what I want for xmas

G3 like anything else however, has a potential downside. The system requirements are pretty steep: 1gig RAM, 1GHz processor and 128Mb video card...
Ooohh - that brings up another question - is it availble for Mac? Although, if you have OSX, I'd think you can run it? Not positive on that.
